Clinical evaluation, includes but is not limited to: Symptoms review, family history, medication review and exposure risks.
Thyroid Laboratory Tests-
Thyroid Laboratory Tests, includes but is not limited to: Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Free T4 (FT4) & Free T3 (FT3), Thyroid Antibodies (TPOAb, TgAb, TRAb), Reverse T3 (rT3), Thyroglobulin (Tg), Calcitonin, Serum Iodine Levels.
Imaging & Diagnostics-
Imaging & Diagnostics, include but are not limited to: Thyroid ultrasound, Radioactive iodine Uptake (RAIU) & Scan, Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) Biopsy, CT/MRI Scan.
Treatment Standards for Thyroid Disorders-
Hypothyroidism (e.g., Hashimoto's Disease)

FDA-Approved Treatment: Levothyroxine (Synthroid, Levoxyl, Tirosint)
Hyperthyroidism (e.g., Graves' disease, Thyroiditis, Toxic Nodules)

Antithyroid Medications: Methimazole (Tapazole), Propylthiouracil (PTU)

Referals to specialist for Radioactive Iodine Therapy (RAI)

Beta- Blockers for Symptom Management

Refer out for Thyroidectomy Surgery (For Severe Cases)
Goiter & Structural Abnormalities

Medication Management or Referral to Specialist for potential surgery consult based on severity.
Ongoing Monitoring & Follow-Up-

Regular TSH, T3 and T4 Monitoring- Every 6-12 months for stable patients.

Lifelong Follow-Up for Hypothyroid Patients on Medication.

Thyroid Nodule Surveillance with Ultrasound- If benign but growing.

Post Surgical or Post-RAI Montering- Ensuring proper thyroid hormone levels.
